Advisory from Guam International Airport related to COVID-19

Here we deliver the advisory posted by Guam International Airport, which we believe to be useful for those who already scheduled to travel to Guam or are considering for better preparation.

AN ADVISORY FOR TRAVELERS TO THE GUAM AIRPORT
(Issue Date: February 27, 2020)

Global travel is changing rapidly with the threat of the spread of the latest virus to emerge (COVID-19).  The Guam Airport has stepped up its preparedness and issues this advisory so travelers know what to expect upon arrival to the island of Guam.

ARRIVE AT LEAST TWO HOURS EARLY FOR YOUR FLIGHT!
・ Plan more time for screening of your passport and travel history, as well as health screening measures at point of embarkation

EXPECT INFLIGHT PROTECTIVE MEASURES!
・ Your airline may ask you to fill out health and passenger information cards
・ Some passenger amenities, such as pillows and blankets, may not be provided in flight for passenger protection
・ If you feel ill during flight, please notify your airline attendant

PREPARE FOR SECURITY CHECKS!
・ Guam Customs and Quarantine Officials will be present upon your exit off the plane.  They will identify any person of interest that may require further screening by Guam Public Health officials.  Should a passenger exhibit symptoms associated with the COVID-19 virus, the passenger may be subjected to additional health screening and/of quarantine measures.
・ The US Customs and Border Protection inspection officers will ask you a series of question that may include, travel history, purpose of visit to Guam, and your planned accommodation.  They will also inspect all travel documents and required visas to enter into Guam.  Should a passenger have traveled to country identified by Department of Homeland Security with restricted entry into the US, the passenger will be subjected to further screening measures that may include secondary questioning, and/or denial of entry and return to originating ports.

TRAVEL DOCUMENTATION AND FORMS!
・ Ensure you have a Valid Passport and Valid Visa (if applicable)
・ Properly fill out Entry Form for Inspection
・ Guam Customs and Quarantine will issue Health Notices and Advisories to all Arriving Passengers.  Please refer to them during your stay, should you feel symptoms as indicated will be issued Health Advisories
